Ah ok got it.

I’m not using a heat blanket, just putting a box on top of the vacuum press and a heater inside.

so i got to pressing the board this weekend.

wen't well until one (out of two) dowels (for guiding/keeping core in place) came off the base.

i had some reference points so i could put it in place by measuring, but got a bit hairy.

since i was worried it had shifted (and it's a splitboard) i immediately made the split after i had made the rough cut out of the shape, to verify if the core had shifted or not, but luckily i hadn't.

what did happen however as i was fiddling with getting the core in place was that the tip fillers moved slightly and got on top of the core.

i guess this won't be anything but a cosmetic issue.
