In the past I've always epoxied my UHMW sidewalls to my core before profiling the cores, after seeing that was a common way to do it. It has worked well, but it's a bit of a pain. I've seen a few companies (J skis and Folsom skis) who seem to just hold the sidewalls in place and let the layup adhere them to the ski. Any body have experience doing this?

How crucial is it to epoxy sidewalls to core pre-layup?

Are there things I should be paying attention for if I were to use epoxy in very warm weather or with salty, iodine-rich seaside air? The thing is that I was planning to buy one of these houses in Greece for the holidays, and work on skis there to go to winter sports resorts in Bulgaria, Montenegro etc later on.

If you work with a mold and if you have profiled sidewalls you can do this approach, otherwise it will be difficult
