Found this stuff and it looks interesting but down side is it is only 2.5". Talked the company and they only sell that width and don't know of any other place that sells it wider. Has anyone ever seen this stuff from any other suppliers?

That stuff is made by Colan in Australia and is produced mainly for the surfing industry, hence the small widths as it is only used as rail tape. I doubt that there is a wider version of it. However, Colan seems to do smaller runs of custom fabrics for some Australian online shops, so if you can find enough people that are interested in this, they might make a wider version.
