how about Super Bowl Sunday? Many places have some kind deal and less crowded sometimes.

How about midweek... anybody?

hegan

Tied with Killington and Pico right now.

How does Killington Sunday, February 7 sound to everyone?

skidesmond

Unfortunately for me 2/7 (and 2/28, 3/20) will a work day...

We may have to have 2-3 summit days

... I could 1/31.

for number of reasons I don't ski on weekends...I'll suggest Super Bowl Sunday again place which offer additional ticket price discount

Brought this up in another thread, thought I might give the idea it's own thread to see if there's any interest.

Was thinking of hosting an East Coast builders summit this Spring/late winter in the Mad River Valley of VT.

I work at a little inn here in the valley and could arrange a nice package deal for up to 40+ folks (prob a few more if necessary). Have a small bit of pull at Mad River Glen too, so could probably arrange for some discount tix to get us all on the hill too. Depending on snowpack, there are plenty of BC options right outside our back door too. Before we get too deep into all of that though I just thought I'd gauge the interest.

Could be a cool way to check out each others' work, talk shop, have some beers, etc...

I don't mind organizing at all, just need an idea on general interest. Thinking late March/early April, mid-week (better for negotiating deals) two days on the hill, one or two overnights, depending on your travel situation.

skidesmond

I like the idea, count me in. It would be nice to see what others are building first hand. Talk shop and ski.

vinman

I'm just north of you and would likely come down for a day.

MadRussian

Count me in. Unfortunately I have nothing to show yet

Maybe Sugarbush next door then

MadRussian

Barnboy it was nice to meet you in person.... Unfortunately we didn't get to make some turns together. Maybe some other time I definitely will be back to MRG

Watch out for a pair of OAC skis there!

skidesmond

I kept an eye for them but didn't see them. But I did see a pair of mine at Butternut today

MadRussian

maybe this year we all try to organize the summit ?

hegan

Anyone want to make this happen this year ?

MadRussian

I am all for it

skidesmond

Sure. I'll try to make it.

hegan

What ski resort would work for everyone?

JukeSnowboarding

I should be able to make it

knightsofnii

Mt Snow is my weekend home now

skidesmond

Mt Snow is close for me.

AKtransplant

I would try to be in as well, Home mountain is Magic. Could be a nice low key place to meet although it can't happen until they get snow and a working lift!

skidesmond

I'm in Western Mass so any place that's 3hr drive one way or less is fine with me (NY, southern Vt, Killington, southern NH,..). We need snow badly. And it's going to be 50's on sunday.

hegan

Pico might be good resort. It always kind of low key, it has great terrain and the tickets are priced on the lower end.

skimann20

I certainly can try to make this happen. i would need a date to schedule this. yes, anything within 3hrs of Boston would be preferable.

knightsofnii

then it's settled, Mt Snow it is!!

skidesmond

Most Sundays are good for me. Saturdays I'm normally teaching, but could probably get a day off w/ advance notice. Could probably swing a mid-week ski day. Mt Snow works for me.

MadRussian

I am for mid-week

Pico good choice

hegan

Another vote for a Sunday.

knightsofnii

mt snow sunday afternoon tkts 12-4 is $100 per 4 people, if you have a 4some 25ea!

hegan

How does Sunday January 31 sound to everyone?

Can anyone set up a poll to vote for what resort?

So far we have Mt Snow, Magic, Pico and Killington.

chrismp

Just make a doodle poll and post the link here
