I have been reading the posts for a while and haven't seen a post about this.. .Probably just didn't dig deep enough or just missed it... sorry in advance.

Here's my question:

When I route my base to my template shape, I now need to attach a 3/4 length edge to it. What is the prescribed method for cutting the edge width out of the p-tex so that my edge will be in line with the p-tex base at the end of the metal edge?

epic side note: I am just about to build my first ski and this is a question that has been haunting me for some time.

I've done the same thing, stapled a few layers of tip spacer (or whatever) onto the end.

After routing you'll have a small radius there, the radius of your router bit. Just use a razor blade or exacto knife to cut out the corner square by hand for the edge.
