i`ve got some troubles with the forum...

it happened a week ago, now i always have to log in twice to be logged in properly. furthermore i can`t see which posts are new and which not... this sucks quite a bit.

anyone else with this problem? is it the forum or is it my pc?

help would be appreciated!

I have the problem that I do not automatically log in although I tick the "log me in automatically each visit" box.

I can see the highlighted new posts though.

I had the same problem as plywood for the longest time.

The other day I logged in from another pc, and it logged me out here. Now I no longer have the autologgin, and the box isn;t even there to check.

i used to auto login too... but a couple of days ago, it didnt log me in, which messed me up a lot, because i just thought no one had been posting, then i noticed that i wasnt logged in. now the box isnt even there to for me to tick either.

I don't auto log but you may find the answer in the profile section for your account.

Guys, seems like we're getting a lot of spambot users registering, so i've disabled the auto-login feature for now. i'm in the process of adding additional security to our forum. it seems the bots are getting smarter and smarter these days....

those BASTARDS!

really hope you can fix this issue and kick those spambots back to stoneage!

Not really appropriate around here but I found a great solution to keep the spam bots out of phpBB forums... don't let the forums be crawled by search engines :-)

spent the last day doing some cleaning and managed to tighten security a bit...let's hope the repairs work....

I don't know too much about how these forum software systems work, but maybe if you changed the requirements for what new users need to put in their profiles, it may stop the bots.

It seems like a lot of the bots don't list any location or other information.

i have to sign in twice everytime. i.e. when i sign in the first time, it takes me to the forums index, but i am still not logged in. the second time it works. i thought it was just me, but after many times, i started typing in my username and password very carefully and was still rejected the first time, and always accepted on try two. anyone else having this issue?
